XP-SR RUGGED PCI EXPANSION SYSTEM

Carlo Gavazzi&squo;s XP-SR series of rugged PCI expansion chasses are designed to fulfill critical military applications, such as connecting to a rugged laptop for use on an aircraft carrier&squo;s runway.

The XP-SR consists of a PCI host card and a 2U rackmount chassis made of 0.125 gauge aluminum that houses two or three PCI slots. A second chassis can be added for a total of four or six slots from a single host slot. The chassis connects to the host using two shielded CAT5 cables with RJ-45 connectors. The host and expansion unit can be placed 5m apart. Compliant with PCI 2.2 specifications, the XP2-SR (two-slot chassis) supports 3.3V and universal voltage PCI cards. The XP3-SR (three-slot chassis) supports 5V and universal voltage PCI cards. The chassis is cooled with recirculation fans.

Ideal for mission critical applications, the XP-SR series is designed to meet the shock, vibration, and emission standards (MIL-STD-901D, MIL-STD-167, and MIL-STD-461) required by the military. Features include:

Adds two or three PCI expansion slots

PCI 2.1/2.2 compliant

Available in 2U rackmount chassis made of .125 gauge aluminum

Compatible with 64-bit/66 MHz (two slot) and 32-bit/33 MHz (three slot) bus speed

Available with front configurable I/O

Designed to meet MIL-STD-901D, MIL-STD-167, and MIL-STD-461 (Shock, Vibration, Emmissions)

Conforms to international emission and immunity standards

Compatible with SPARC Solaris, Solaris x86, WindowsTM 2000, WindowsTM XP, and Linux
