Smiths Detection has inaugurated a $3.5 million expansion of its military facility in Edgewood, Maryland, following a number of Department of Defense (DoD) contract wins over the past two years. Production and office space will be increased from 87,000ft² to 130,000ft² over the next six to eight months.
