Reuters: European carbon emissions futures rose on Thursday to nearly 11 euros a tonne as utilities bought back EU Allowances (EUAs) to close their short positions. EUAs CFI2Z9 rose 1.02 euros or 10.54 percent to 10.70 euros ($13.48) a tonne by 1227 GMT. Volume was heavy at 5,305 lots traded.
