Bioengineers and physicians are developing a device designed to make it easier for people with diabetes to monitor their health. Current monitoring devices require that people prick themselves to draw blood for a glucose-level test sample — often several times a day. The new device would enable accurate glucose-level testing by using tear fluid as a test sample — relieving people from having to draw blood repeatedly.
