San Diego CA (SPX) Jan 17, 2008 – The U.S. Navy has selected Northrop Grumman for the design, development and delivery of dismounted and mounted development models for Counter Radio-Controlled Improvised Explosive Device (RCIED) Electronic Warfare (CREW) systems. Dismounted and mounted CREW systems are two elements of the U.S. Defense Department’s Joint Counter RCIED Electronic Warfare program. CREW systems are electronic jammers designed to prevent the initiation of RCIEDs.
