NewsFactor – TomTom, the world’s No. 1 maker of personal navigation devices, has increased its bid to $4.2 billion in cash for digital map provider Tele Atlas. TomTom announced it would immediately begin purchasing and acquiring 25.8 million Tele Atlas shares, which represent about 28.3 percent of the software provider’s share capital.
