Microsoft and Ford Motor Company have teamed up to keep drivers’ hands off their increasingly ubiquitous gadgetry and on the steering wheel. The new Sync system lets drivers operate portable media players, such as iPods, or mobile phones with voice commands. Unveiled in January, the Sync system began appearing in cars this summer.
