Investor’s Business Daily – Drivers in Los Angeles will soon have new ways to pay parking meters. The new options include paying on your cell phone. If you sign up for the cell phone option, the amount you owe ends up on your cell phone bill. The city says that those who sign up for the cell phone option can choose to receive a text message when they need to prepay for more time on the meter. The new meters, which handle multiple parking spaces each, will replace 6,000 of the city’s 40,000 meters.
