CHS Container Handel GmbH was established in 1978 in Bremen and has grown to be one of the European leaders in the leasing of containers and room elements, as well as customizing special containers to customers’ specifications.
CHS containers are globally present through subsidiaries and associated companies. Military customers have leveraged our comprehensive experiences in manufacturing containers for field camps and our containers have been involved in supporting ‘Enduring Freedom’, EUFOR, KFOR and ISAF.
CHS containers are used as temporary or permanent accommodation, such as office containers, changing rooms or sanitary facilities – each of them custom made and equipped to answer its individual purpose, but above all quickly removable at any time.

CHS sea containers ‐ new or used ‐ are standard freight containers and manufactured in accordance with DIN ISO 1496.
CHS refrigerated containers are available in two unit types: with electricity and gasoline-diesel as autonomous energy units or only with electricity.

CHS Spezialcontainer – Shelter and Engineering GmbH, the youngest partner in the CHS-Group, was formerly a department in CHS CONTAINER Handel GmbH. Here, the customers will find solutions of their special container desires and problems. For all possibilities we will design and manufacture special containers according to the customer&squo;s specifications for military and civil use.
From Antarctica to Siberia, from the tropical rain forests to the Sahara, in harsh climates at sea – we deliver container solutions in every size, from a single container to a combination of modules in each part of the world.
