The glitch is another setback for Nokia , which has tried to position N8 to compete with Apple’s (NMS:AAPL) iPhone and handsets featuring Google’s (NMS:GOOG) Android software. While Nokia dominates in Europe, it remains a relatively small player in the U.S. market. “It’s not a great start for their supposed iPhone or Android killer,” said Neil Mawston of Strategy Analytics.
