46% of Brazil’s energy comes from renewable sources

Mongabay: Preliminary data from Brazil’s energy ministry shows that bioenergy derived from sugar cane surpassed hydroelectric power as Brazil’s secondary largest source of energy in 2007, reports Biopact.
