United Press International: A study of British birds finds common species are laying eggs an average of a week earlier than they did 40 years ago. The British Trust for Ornithology surveyed 30,000 nests, The Scotsman reports. The study focused on the species like swallows, robins and chaffinches, not on rare and endangered species.
