Journal Star: The city of Lincoln is taking the first step in mining methane from the Bluff Road landfill. A drilling company is scheduled to set up a rig next week as part of a phase one plan to install 54 gas wells on 61 acres of the landfill, said Gary Brandt of the Public Works Department’s wastewater and solid waste operations.
