Australian Broadcasting Corporation: Torres Strait Islanders are taking their appeal for urgent action on climate change to Parliament House today. A group of 40 islanders from Poruma Island – representing a fifth of the population – will meet with Federal Indigenous Affairs Minister Jenny Macklin in Canberra.
