Young and brazen—two words that aptly describe the Brazilian cybercriminals of today. That’s probably old news though; what’s new is that they’ve switched communication platforms. After the temporary crackdown on WhatsApp last December, cybercriminals changed messaging tools to avoid unwanted law enforcement attention while going about the business of cybercrime. Although this shift may be coincidental, the secure messaging features of Telegram may make it ripe for abuse.
