Hunter Defense

Hunter Defense Technologies leads the market in providing modular military and emergency response solutions for the 21st century. With products such as Nuclear, Biological and Chemical (NBC) protection systems, environmental control and power systems, and rapid-deployment shelters, Hunter provides power, comfort and protection to soldiers on the battlefield.

The company has operated since 1937, and is the only provider of complete, fully integrated solutions to supply power as well as heated, cooled and filtered air combined with an advanced shelter system.

As the focus of the world’s militaries shifts to multiple missions such as counter terrorism, peacekeeping and humanitarian operations, Hunter Defense Technologies provides the tools troops need to stay mobile, responsive and protected.

MILITARY TACTICAL SHELTERS

Hunter Defence Technologies provides the world&squo;s most advanced shelter systems through the experience and know-how of Base-X. Its patented folding-frame technology can be deployed rapidly by a minimal number of personnel in any terrain.

These shelters are lightweight yet extremely durable, withstanding multiple set-up and strike cycles. With shelters from 15in to 76in long, complexing options are unlimited. Base-X shelters are currently in use by military services around the world, including every branch of the US military.

Tactical applications of Hunter Defense’s products include:

Command and control centres

Medical facilities

Collective protection

Maintenance

Billeting

EMERGENCY RESPONSE SHELTERS

Base-X emergency response shelters are ideally suited for today’s rapidly growing homeland defence and emergency response markets. Hunter Defence’s mobile hospital units are modular and scalable, offering anywhere from 6 to 100 beds. Units are stored in cargo trailers that can be deployed next to hospitals for increased surge capacity, or moved to a remote location for a stand-alone emergency facility.

CBRN AIR FILTRATION SYSTEMS

Hunter Manufacturing Company, another Hunter Defense Technologies company, is a world leader in the design and manufacture of mission critical and tactical support equipment, including heating and Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CRBN) air filtration systems.

Hunter has become synonymous with state-of-the-art CRBN air filtration systems for permanent and temporary shelter installations as well as vehicular applications.

These CBRN air filters and air filtration systems are specifically designed and built to strict military specifications to protect today’s forces from hostile enemy action involving weapons of mass destruction.

MILITARY TENT HEATING EQUIPMENT

Providing warfighters with a safe and warm environment under the most adverse battlefield conditions is accomplished around the world using Hunter tent and shelter heating equipment. Hunter offers the largest selection of multi-fuel heaters in the world.

Hunter designs and builds powered and non-powered heaters for tents, shelters and vehicles with capacities to meet any operational requirement. No other heaters offer the degree of reliability, durability and safety as those manufactured by Hunter.

MOBILE POWER SYSTEMS

Hunter provides mobile power and environmental control systems to modern militaries through Power Systems International (PSI). Power Systems International specializes in the development of power generation systems, power distribution and control equipment, Environmental Control Units (ECUs) and durable generator / ECU trailer-mounted systems (GETs) for a wide range of military applications.

These systems are designed and built to endure tough terrain and challenging environments, and support military forces in tactical operations in the most extreme conditions. PSI also offers a wide variety of power management options for use with its line of generators, including utility distribution boxes for applications that require feed-through power to supply larger areas, and Power Distribution Units (PDU) to provide power redundancy in critical power applications such as hospitals, radar installations, and communications.
