Roketsan

Roketsan Missiles Industries was established in 1988 to lead Turkey’s national rocket and missile research and production programmes. Roketsan’s world-class manufacturing centres produce weapons and equipment to NATO standards.

122MM ROCKET TUBES

The T-122 has two pods of 20 122mm rocket tubes for mounting on the rear of a MAN (6×6) 26.281 cross-country truck chassis. The original was the steel (multi-use) pod, the more recent the composite-sealed (single-use) pod. The composite pod can withstand high temperature, humidity, sand and salty conditions.

MULTI-BARREL ROCKET LAUNCHER

Our T-122 Multi-Barrel Rocket Launcher System (MBRLS) possesses an advanced fire-control computer, digital secure communication system, armour-protected cab, NBC protection, composite pods, remote fuze and an automatic stabilisation system. The launcher can be used for all 122mm unguided rockets.

Roketsan is currently marketing an upgraded version of the T-122 MBRLS based on the latest generation MAN (6×6) cross-country truck chassis, which will have a nuclear, biological and chemical defence system as well as air-conditioning.

A new computerised Fire-Control System (FCS) in the front cab carries out a number of functions, including built-in tests before and during firing, storing up to 20 target locations and consideration of meteorological information in various formats.

A global positioning system / inertial navigation system improves the system’s overall accuracy, and the MBRLS’ secure digital communications system interfaces with the battery command centre.

Two pods of 20 rockets can be rapidly replaced by the resupply vehicle on a similar chassis using its onboard hydraulic crane. The pods are delivered in sealed units and discarded once fired.

EXTENDED-RANGE MULTI-BARREL LAUNCHER AMMUNITION

Roketsan has type classified a 122mm calibre extended-range multi-barrel launcher ammunition designated the TR-122. This new unguided rocket extends the 122mm calibre rocket launcher system’s range to over 40,000m.

122MM ROCKETS

The TR-122 unguided rocket can be fired from a Roketsan-made 122mm T-122 multi-barrel rocket launcher and its foreign equivalents. The complete Roketsan 122mm rocket family consists of the following types:

TR-122 with HE warhead: maximum range 40km

TRK-122 with submunition warhead: maximum range of 30km

We also produce a TR-107 107mm calibre unguided rocket with a range of over 11,000m.

70MM AIR-GROUND ROCKET

The first tests of Roketsan’s new 70mm air-ground rocket in a precision guided version ‐ the Cirit (Jereed) ‐ took place late in 2006, and, according to information from the manufacturer, should be ready for a series manufacture by the end of 2008.

The Cirit guided missile has a semi-active laser seeker in the nose; behind it is a control unit with two pairs of swing-out control surfaces. Further to the rear there is a warhead with combined anti-armour, anti-personnel and incendiary effect.

The Cirit homing rocket is 1.9m long, weighs 14kg and has a maximum range of 8km.

AIR-LAUNCHED ANTI-TANK GUIDED MISSILE

ROKETSAN has released details of its newly developed, long-range air-launched Anti-Tank Guided Missile (ATGM), envisaged as the main armament for the future T-129 light attack helicopter that is under award to the industry team of AgustaWestland and Tusas Aeropsace.

The T-129 was selected in March to meet the needs of the Turkish land forces command for a rotorcraft to perform both attack and tactical reconnaissance duties.

SUBMARINE DEFENCE SYSTEM

This rocket against submarine threats can be fired from all navy platforms. The HE warhead will be exploded at a suitable depth adjusted by an FCS before firing.
