Investor’s Business Daily – Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA – News) , a maker of processing chips for phones and tablet computers, agreed to buy Icera, a British maker of data-modem chips for wireless devices, for $367 mil in cash. The deal is seen allowing Nvidia to help it compete with Qualcomm (NASDAQ:QCOM – News). Nvidia says the deal will allow it to help manufacturers speed smartphones to market. Nvidia rose 2.2% to 19.75.
