It looks like Saw Gerrera, the extremist Rebel leader played by Forest Whitaker, will make an appearance in the Star Wars Rebels animated series. For all that’s been said about Rogue One being a standalone story, it already pulls a great deal from established elements from Star Wars’ mythology. Saw actually made his first appearance in the Clone Wars animated series, making him the first character introduced in an animated series to make the jump to the big screen.
