At the time of this writing no action has been taken on the proposed stay of internet radio royalty rates passed by the Copyright Royalty Board on March 2nd 2007 which are due on July 15th 2007. The extreme rates are due retroactively for the year 2006 and include a $500.00 per channel surcharge. Webcasters all over the United States have banded together to battle these new rates in an effort to survive. Will internet radio simply disappear?
